The Tigers have one final home game against the Falcons to end off the regular season on at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19. It will be another chance for Dalhousie's offence to shine again, as they have done the last several games including a 64-0 win over this same Saint John team.

"Our offence has all the talent it needs," said Dalhousie quarterback Jonas Anderson. "We just got to make sure we're each position executing their own jobs and not trying to, you know, do too much. But we definitely got what it takes to go all the way."

Anderson took over as starting quarterback partway through the season and has improved with each game as his leadership and confidence grow.

"It's been awesome," said Anderson on his transition into the starting QB role. "Really appreciate the coaches giving me a shot and wouldn't be able to do it without my teammates around me making my job a lot easier."

"It's definitely made a big difference being in my second year just being more comfortable with the guys, getting to know them better and just kind of becoming more of a vocal leader on the team."

The Tigers will hold a ceremony for the graduating players on Oct. 19 before their game. Each senior will be recognized for their efforts and contributions to the Tigers' football legacy.

"The seniors are great. I look up to a lot of them," said Anderson. "They've taught me a lot over the past two years and it's going to be a shame that they have to leave next year."

A Chance at Redemption

On Oct. 11, the Dalhousie Tigers travelled to UNB to face the Reds in a rematch with a lot at stake. If the Tigers won by 4 or more points, they would win the Alumni cup and the right to host finals — assuming both teams won out the rest of the season.

After a tight back and forth battle, the Tigers came out on top, but only by 2 points. There was no celebration, no excitement from the Tigers bench, knowing that despite the bounce-back win, they came up just short of the game's ultimate goal.

On Oct. 18, UNB visited the Holland College Hurricanes in their final regular season game. It was a back-and-forth game the whole way. With 52 seconds left, the Reds trailed 20-21 and had a chance to kick a field goal, essentially sealing the win.

The kick went up, and missed wide left. Hurricanes Keegan Cardona caught the football and ran it all the way to the end zone for a touchdown to seal the victory 28-21.

With UNB's loss, the Tigers have a chance to earn back home field advantage for the Atlantic Football League (AFC) finals if they can get a win against the Saint Johns Falcons on Oct. 19.
