Although they were not able to take a three-peat title, the Tigers were able to deliver a solid football performance in the 2023 AFL season, receiving 11 AFL All-Star awards and nominations.
First up were the Club Award Winners:

Rookie Dante Gabrielli and Retiring Captain Logan Hiller both received Team Leadership awards for their performances on the field, with Dante also receiving the Team MVP award, and Logan receiving Defense MVP to add to their lengthy football accolades.

Always willing to help out with logistics, statistics and clearing equipment from the field, Alessandro Ibarra Rodriguez received the Coaches' Choice award in his rookie year.

Ethan Lord, and Logan Steeves received the Rookie of the Year awards for their incredible work in their first season, and the future looks bright for both of these athletes long careers with our program.

A human battering ram on the field, Caden Quong, received Offensive MVP in his rookie year for his work as a Runningback.

A veteran of the program, former Club President, and leader on and off the field, Louis Fiset received O-Lineman of the Year. Coming in as a rookie, Jason Xie quickly showed off his chops receiving the Special Teams MVP award for the 2023 season!

Known for his friendly demeanor but an absolute beast on the field, Christian Riley received D-Lineman of the Year. His catchphrase, "Aint Nobody Bigger than the Program" drew many a laugh from the guys at our year-end banquet.

Coming fresh off an injury in 2022, Davoo quickly made his return in the program, securing himself the Comeback Player of the Year award. Always a hard worker on the field and in the classroom, Owen Hamilton-White was the Most Improved Award recipient.

The Tigers also received a number of AFL Awards:

The King of Sticky Fingers and a legend coming out of High School football, Ethan Lord quickly showed off his abilities to the max in the 2023 season earning him the Rookie of the Year award for our entire league.

After already securing himself a Rookie of the Year award from our club, Logan Steeves also took home the D-Lineman of the Year league award, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the league.

Returning veteran Matt Lawton and rookie Ethan Lord secured two Receiver All Stars for our club in 2023.

Logan Steeves received his third award of the season by securing himself a D-Line All Stars designation, joined by teammate Christian Riley!

To complement his O-Lineman of the Year award, Louis Fiset also received an O-Line All Star along with Sean Matheson for the 2023 season.

Retiring with a bang, Logan Hillier secured a Defensive Back All-Star in his final year!

Owen's hard work this season paid off, also earning him an AFL Linebacker All-Star.

Finally, in addition to his Offensive MVP Award, Caden Quong received a Runningback All Star to cap off his rookie season in the AFL.
We are incredibly proud of what our boys have been able to achieve in the 2023 season, and although we were not able to secure our three-peat win, we will be back with a vengeance in 2024 to make it the "Year of the Tiger"! Go Tigers!
